► Specialist Pollution regarding EU subjects
in Turkey
As you may well know, Turkey has come a long way in its
relations to the EU and is a candidate since December 1999 and
an accession country since December 2005. With these turning
points in the EU-Turkey relations, wide variety of actors in
Turkey have started to take the EU dimension to their agenda.
Those who are related to the EU dinemsion to some extent
formerly have also got into struggle to more intensify this
agenda. In this context, since most of the information in
connection with the EU which have been brought to you by means
such as meetings, publications, and web pages have not been
produced by scientific experts of the issue is either
inadequate or incorrect information.
The EU related
issues intrinsically require rigorously study and knowledge
accumulation of the years. However, in Turkey, the
surroundings is not being passed from people who suppose
themselves as an EU expert by having knowledge picked
up here and there by listening, reading one or two press
communication, reading a few articles or books,
participating to one or two meetings, or having been in one
or two thesis juries.
In this atmosphere
where the "specialist pollution" is being experienced, it is
ought to be a basic and healthy way out to reach accurate
